How to use the Exam Photo Editor

  1. Upload your photo (or signature) by clicking the upload area or dragging a JPG, PNG, or WEBP file onto it.
  2. Pick your exam from the Preset dropdown to auto-fill the exact pixel size and KB limit (SSC, Passport, RBI Assistant, and more). Choose Manual / Custom to enter your own values.
  3. If the form needs a printed name and date, turn on Name & Date and type the candidate name and date to stamp.
  4. Set a Max KB value to hit a portal's size cap, or tick Maximum Quality to skip compression. Pick JPG, PNG, or WEBP and DPI if required.
  5. Click Download Photo, or Create Printable Sheet to tile copies on a 4×6, 5×7, or A4 sheet for printing.

Why you might need this

Most Indian exam applications reject photos that don't match their exact specifications. SSC, IBPS, and many state exams ask for a 3.5 × 4.5 cm passport photo between 20–50 KB; UPSC allows a larger photo but still enforces dimension and DPI rules; banking exams like RBI Assistant want 200 × 230 px at 40 KB or less. A photo that's the wrong size or a few KB over the limit is one of the most common reasons an application gets kicked back at upload.

What photo size and KB limit does SSC require?

SSC CGL, CHSL, and MTS typically ask for a 3.5 × 4.5 cm passport photo (about 276 × 354 px) between 20 and 50 KB, with the candidate's name and date printed on it. Pick the SSC preset to fill these values, then enable Name & Date.

Does this tool upload my photo anywhere?
