Most Indian exam applications reject photos that don't match their exact specifications. SSC, IBPS, and many state exams ask for a 3.5 × 4.5 cm passport photo between 20–50 KB; UPSC allows a larger photo but still enforces dimension and DPI rules; banking exams like RBI Assistant want 200 × 230 px at 40 KB or less. A photo that's the wrong size or a few KB over the limit is one of the most common reasons an application gets kicked back at upload.
This editor handles the whole pipeline in one place — resize to exact pixels, compress to a KB cap, stamp the candidate's name and date (required by SSC CGL and several state police recruitments), and lay out a printable 4×6 sheet so a studio or cybercafé can print copies without re-editing. Everything runs in your browser, so the photo never leaves your device.
If you only need to shrink an existing photo to a KB limit, the Compress Image tool is faster. If a portal rejects your file for being under its minimum KB requirement, use Increase Image Size to bump it up. For signatures, switch the editor to Signature mode and pick the exam preset.
| Exam / use | Photo size | Photo KB | Signature size | Signature KB |

| SSC (CGL, CHSL, MTS) | 3.5 × 4.5 cm (~276×354 px) | 20–50 KB | 6.0 × 2.0 cm | 10–20 KB |
| Passport (standard) | 3.5 × 4.5 cm (~276×354 px) | ≤ 50 KB | — | — |
| RBI Assistant | 200 × 230 px | ≤ 40 KB | 140 × 60 px | ≤ 18 KB |
| DSSSB MTS | 480 × 672 px | ≤ 200 KB | 140 × 110 px | ≤ 30 KB |
| Haryana Police Constable | ~276×354 px | ≤ 250 KB | 413 × 177 px | ≤ 250 KB |
Specifications change each recruitment cycle — always confirm against the official notification before uploading.
SSC CGL, CHSL, and MTS typically ask for a 3.5 × 4.5 cm passport photo (about 276 × 354 px) between 20 and 50 KB, with the candidate's name and date printed on it. Pick the SSC preset to fill these values, then enable Name & Date.
No. All resizing, compression, and printing happen locally in your browser. Your photo is never sent to a server, so it stays private.
Choose a paper size (4×6, 5×7, A4, or Letter) and click Create Printable Sheet. The tool tiles as many copies as fit — the badge shows the count. Save the sheet and print it at a studio or at home.
Enter the portal's max KB in the Max KB field (for example 40) and make sure Maximum Quality is off. The tool re-encodes until it lands under the limit. If it's still too big, crop tighter first.
Yes. Turn on the Name & Date toggle, type the candidate name and date, and the stamp appears on the preview before you download. This is required for SSC and several state exams.
Yes — switch to Signature mode at the top. It loads signature presets (dimensions and KB), and the Signature Cleaner can whiten a messy background.
